What is Organic Blue?
Organic Blue, in essence, simply aims to care and inspire. Our idea of wellbeing extends to health of the mind as well as the physical body, while drawing the best from traditions around the world. Organic Blue represents a name that people are able to trust, with confidence, to offer natural products and services that are free from unnecessary ingredients, that maximise the use of certified organic ingredients and are presented in a classic yet simple style. The realm of Organic Blue is for people who want to lead a more natural lifestyle.
Background
The idea behind the Organic Blue concept began in late 1999 when we had spent some time trying to find 'natural-quality' products around the world. We soon realised that there was no single brand that could satisfy all our requirements for depth of products or ingredient quality. Thus the idea developed that we should create a range that not only met our requirements but also incorporated many of our own personal beliefs.
About us
Being Indian in origin, yet having grown up in the UK, we were becoming aware of how much we were affected in all our everyday actions both at home and work by our rich tradition of Jainism - an ancient philosophy based on 'ahimsa' (non-violence) and respect for life. For example, we had been vegetarians since birth, based on respect for animal life; our grandmother had taught us to patiently and carefully remove any insect from the house without causing it any harm, back safely outdoors - the tiniest of creatures was still important. Hence also our attempt to only use products that were free from animal ingredients ie usually natural products. In addition, our mother would often use (and still does) Indian herbs based on ayurvedic recipes to cure us of illnesses, which we accepted without question as part of the medicinal cabinet alongside paracetamol! We really were a fusion of East and West.
Our Aim
Thus, we have now embarked on a quest to work with experts in their respective fields - whether aromatherapy, herbalism or bodycare - to offer you exceptional products for both the body and mind, fusing together ingredients from around the world. With regard to enlivening the mind, we are sending out a free weekly 'inspirational thought' by e-mail which will hopefully give people something to think about for a few moments outside of their busy schedules, and contribute in some way to enhance their lives.
